Lucky Charms

I consider myself very lucky: first reason is that Gaia is one of my best friend, and I’ve been one of the first persons to have a couple of her lovely charms.

I am very glad to finally can show them to all of you.

Mi considero una persona molto fortuna perchè Gaia è una delle mie migliori amiche ed anche perchè sono stata una delle primissime persone ad avere alcuni dei suoi deliziosi braccialetti.
Sono davvero contenta di mostrarli qui sul mio blog e farli conoscere anche a tutte coloro che ancora non li avevano visti (ormai in poche perchè stanno spopolando!).

When and why did you decide to start creating these pretty charms bracelets?

I have always loved to realize my own accessories, such as headbands, and to customize my ballerinas. I have started creating these bracelets almost a year ago. While I was walking down some streets in Nizza, being enchanted by the elegance and style of French women, I got the idea of doing something that reflects two basic qualities. Elegance and simplicity, with a touch of style and originality. And, surprisingly, this can be simply accomplished by using basic materials.

Bracelets of this kind are very common in France, whereas they had been so difficult to find here in Italy for years. Recently they have become quite popular even in Italy, so I am sure I haven’t made any inventions! Nevertheless I am glad people acknowledge that my bracelets have that “something” different from the others. I am also happy that my taste keeps driving me in the right direction… so far so good!

When I started creating them, even if I was convinced about my idea, I couldn’t imagine to have such a success from people that reached me, thanks of word-of-mouth.

I’m crazy for accessories that are really important in everyone’s look. An accessory can both give a nicety of style and communicate what we are. Accessories in general identify ourselves, and help us to differentiate from others.

Quando e perchè hai deciso di iniziare a creare questi deliziosi braccialetti?

Ho sempre amato farmi le cose, creare cerchietti, personalizzare le mie ballerine ma è ormai quasi un anno che mi sono messa a fare questi braccialetti. L’idea mi è venuta passeggiando per le strade di NIzza, ammirando le donne francesi. Un perfetto mix tra una naturale ed innata eleganza e altrettanta semplicità. Adoro il gusto francese, che devo dire più si avvicina al mio stile. Ho pensato che semplici materiali messi insieme potessero dare un tocco di originalità ed eleganza ad ogni look.

In Francia esistono già da tempo e sono facili da trovare ma io non li avevo mai visti in Italia fino ad oggi che devo dire si cominciano a vedere un po’ ovunque, non ho mai pensato di aver inventato nulla di nuovo, ma mi fa piacere constatare che il mio intuito ed il mio gusto non mi hanno tradita.
Quando ho iniziato ero convinta della mia idea, ma non potevo immaginare un tale gradimento da parte delle persone che tramite il passa parola sono arrivate a me. Vado pazza per gli accessori che secondo me sono importantissimi nel look di ognuna di noi. Con un accessorio possiamo dare un tocco di raffinatezza e allo stesso comunicare quello che siamo. Ci identificano, ci distinguono e caratterizzano.

What inspires you day by day?

Well, how difficult is for me to answer this question! in life, my mom is the ultimate source of inspiration, because she represents what I would like to become.

Since I started my blog, I look at blogs on decorations, fashion, photography trying to capture their essence and to develop my own “essence” without imitating them. My goal is to be different, but at the same time I like to be constantly updated!

What I like? I like fashion, I love to be “a la page” but I seek to create my own fashion, by using unique accessories, my favoutrite colors, vintage clothing, big bags, and my tulle dress that makes me feel so beautiful! In that I am not so into brands and into mainstream.

Da dove trai ispirazione ogni giorno?

Oddio che domanda difficile, non saprei… Nella vita le uniche persone da cui traggo ispirazione sono I miei genitori. La mia mamma è fonte continua di ispirazione è proprio la persona che vorrei essere.

Da quando ho aperto il blog, guardo con ammirazione a tutti I blog di decorazione, di ispirazione, di moda e cerco di catturarne l’essenza senza però emulare nessuno.

Non mi piace copiare e quando vedo qualcosa che mi ispira la faccio mia.
Sono attratta dalle belle cose, dalle cose particolari ed uniche. Non mi piacciono I loghi e la moda esasperata. Ora che sono più grande ho imparato a conoscermi e a sapere cosa fa per me senza seguire la moda a tutti I costi. Mi piace sentirmi diversa e distinguermi dalla massa. Mi piace vestirmi colorata, mi piacciono le borse grandi, adoro le ballerine, il vintage e le cose particolari. Amo il mio vestito di tulle perchè mi fa sentire bella.

Non c’è un’unica cosa che mi ispira, tutto mi ispira.

How did you get the idea of calling them “Lucky Charms”?

A very special person suggested to me that name and I immediately thought that it was perfect.

I’ve also decided to use that name because I wanted them to bring good luck to those wh wear them.

Come ti è venuta l’idea di chiamarli “Lucky Charms”?

Mi è stato suggerito da una persona speciale, e l’ho trovato adatto.

il nome deriva dal desiderio di regalare un sorriso, e quindi anche un pò di fortuna, a chi li indossa…

Are they customizable? Where is it possible to purchase them?

People that ordered my “Lucky” told me to do them as I wanted because, they Said, they trusted my taste and so I did. They say what model they want, they tell me what color they love and I do the bracelets.

A girl ordered 10 bracelets to give to her friends at her Bridal Shower and she just told me that they has to be different one from the other. If someone is interested or just want to have information about bracelets, my store or my bags , he can contact me at gaia.borzicchi@gmail.com

Sono tutti personalizzabili su richiesta? Dove si possono acquistare?

Di solito li faccio a mio gusto ma sulla base delle indicazioni di chi me li chiede. Chiaramente ognuna di voi può richiedere la fantasia o il ciondolo che preferisce e le mia manine confezioneranno ad hoc il lucky charms.

Una ragazza me ne ha ordinati 10 da regalare al suo addio al nubilato e li ha voluti uno diverso dall’altro.
